FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus and a method for laser additive production. Device for initial material supply is configured to supply initial material to target area adjacent to table for construction. Device for feeding functional laser beam includes shaping optics to provide functional laser beam and formation of functional laser beam spot. Motor and the positioning device are mechanically connected to the construction table, a functional laser beam supply device or both. Engine and positioning device provides relative movement of device for supply of functional laser beam and table for construction. Control system comprises a processor, a memory device and an ALA card. Initial material has a construction component selected from a group consisting of magnesium, aluminium, gallium, tin, lead, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, zirconium, molybdenum, rhodium, palladium, argentum, cadmium, tungsten, aurum and mercury, alloys of these metals and mixtures of these metals and alloys. Size of the particles is pre-set taking into account the functional laser beam spot.
EFFECT: laser provides a functional laser beam with a wavelength in range of 405–475 nm.
