SUBSTANCE: invention relates to textile industry and can be used in purifiers of fibrous material, mainly, raw cotton. Grate screen of fibrous material cleaner contains grates 1 of round cross-section, installed under sawing cylinder 2 in arc-shaped sidewalls with constant pitch between adjacent grates in sinusoidal sequence. According to the invention, the centers of the round cross-sections of grates 1 on the inlet side of the cleaner are located with an offset relative to the center of saw cylinder 2, which decreases towards the movement of the fibrous material at the output of the cleaner to zero, wherein maximum displacement Δmax=R1 -Rc – δ1 – rk, where: R1 is the distance from the center of the saw cylinder to the center of the first along the movement direction of the fibrous material of the grate; Rc is saw cylinder radius; δ1 – gap between saw cylinder and second grate; rk – radius of grate, and each subsequent shift after first grate Δn=Rn – Rc – δ1 – rk, where: Rn Is distance from sawing cylinder center to center n-th grate along direction of movement of fibrous material, besides, circular pitch between centers of grates from inlet side of cleaner is increasing along direction of movement of fibrous material by following relationship: where: tn-1 – circular pitch between adjacent grates; n is sequence number of grate along direction of fibrous material movement; t is constant pitch between adjacent grates; Δn-1 – displacement between grates.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of fibrous material cleaning.
