FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petroleum refining industry, namely to methods of producing light olefins. Disclosed method of oil fractions cracking includes supply of oil fractions into reactor with fluidized bed of catalyst at temperature of 540–640 °C and wherein the catalyst used contains a phosphorus-modified zeolite ZSM-5 with an Si/Al ratio of 40 to 150 and a phosphorus content of 1.0 to 4.0 wt%, the matrix components are aluminum oxide and bentonite clay or aluminum oxide, bentonite clay and amorphous aluminosilicate in following ratio of components in catalyst, wt%: zeolite modified by phosphorus ZSM-5 40–50; aluminum oxide 15–25; bentonite clay 20–35 and amorphous aluminosilicate 0–10.
EFFECT: method of cracking oil fractions to increase output of light olefins.
