FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, namely to methods of searching for oil and gas deposits by means of seismic exploration and drilling of prospecting wells. Method of searching for oil-bearing formations in carbonate Devonian reservoirs involves studying by means of seismic prospecting of reservoirs with detection of oil-saturated thicknesses on upper – "U" of lower carbon and lower – "D" of upper Devonian borders of seismic-reflecting horizons. At that during seismic survey there calculated are calculated stratigraphic sections by the method of common deep point – CDPM 2D with density of seismic profiles of not less than 2 p.km/km2. Boundaries of zones of unconformed occurrence of summary elevations are identified by comparison of structural plan on both seismic-reflecting horizons. Calculated stratigraphic section is correlated with the actual one according to previously drilled adjacent wells. Priority exploratory wells are drilled inside boundaries of detected zones in elevations of horizon "U" with projective bottomhole in horizon "D".
EFFECT: high information value of the obtained data, since the disclosed method of searching for oil-bearing formations in the carbonate Devonian reservoirs enables to cover the researches with complexly structured formations and interlayers by an integrated approach, including exploration of formations and interlayers with poorly seismically reflecting lower horizons.
