FIELD: geological exploration.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geological exploration in terms of evaluation of hydrocarbon resources in clinoform deposits of sedimentary cover and can be used to search for new hydrocarbon deposits. Proposed method consists in determination of zoning distribution of promising deposits, in debris fans of deep-water deposits. According to the disclosed method, based on the analysis of time seismic sections, maps of gradients of inclination angles, the lines of the lower and upper bends of the paleoslope are determined, based on the established law, the maximum inclination angles of the paleoslope according to the inclination angle maps are 3–5°, for the selection of zones of the footsteps of the paleoslope, the range of inclination angles of layers is 0.7–0.9°. Constructing a map of isochrones on the roof of the conditional additional surface, connecting the points of the lower inflection at the beginning and at the end of the formation of the wedge shape, thus, excluding the volume of the clinoform depot, which is represented by essentially clayey deposits of the paleoslope, which are not of interest for searching for reservoirs. Zones of relative increase in temporary thicknesses associated with debris fans within the constructed maps are determined. Obtained results are monitored taking into account well information. By combining structural constructions and thickness maps, final corrected boundaries of promising objects of hydrocarbon material in deep-water debris fans are obtained.
EFFECT: improving localization reliability of promising objects of hydrocarbon raw material, which enables to predict content of hydrocarbons in facies of deep-water debris fans of wedge-shaped type.
