FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: method for non-contact determination of distance between two points relates to construction, architecture, geodesic works on small sections, as well as domestic household and household work. Method is based on combination by means of ball head of stand and special double bracket of operation plane of goniometer and range finder with plane, in which point of view and both specified points lie. Measuring in this plane distance to both points of range finder and measuring in the same plane the angle between both lines of sight, it is possible to calculate distance between specified points by formula: L=(a2+b2-2*a*b*cos α)1/2, where L is the distance between the given points, a is the distance from the sighting point to the first point, b is the distance from the sighting point to the second point, α is the angle between the sight lines at the first and second points.
EFFECT: easier determination of distance between two points.
