SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoding video data, in particular to a device for obtaining an internal prediction mode, generating a prediction unit and a residual unit for reconstructing a reconstructed unit for chroma and luma components. Disclosed is a device which receives an internal prediction mode of brightness and an internal chromatic prediction mode, determines a brightness conversion element size and chroma conversion element size using brightness conversion size information, adaptively filters reference pixels of current brightness unit based on internal brightness prediction mode and brightness conversion element size, generates prediction units of current brightness unit and current chrominance unit and generates residual brightness unit and residual chroma unit. Therefore, the internal prediction distance becomes shorter, and the number of coding bits required to encode the intra prediction modes and the residual luminance and chrominance components blocks is reduced, and the coding complexity is reduced by adaptively encoding the intra prediction modes and adaptively filtering the reference pixels.
EFFECT: improved encoding and decoding video data for chroma and luma components.
