SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol delivery devices. Control housing, connected or made with possibility of connection with cartridge, which is equipped with heating element and contains composition of aerosol precursor, wherein the control housing is connected or configured to be connected to the cartridge to form an aerosol delivery device, in which the heating element is configured to activate and evaporate the components of the aerosol precursor composition, wherein control housing comprises power supply connected to electrical load, which includes heater, when control housing is connected to cartridge, wherein the power supply comprises a supercapacitor configured to supply power to the electric load and being a hybrid capacitor; constant-potential DC to DC converter (DC-DC) connected to supercapacitor between supercapacitor and electric load; a damper circuit connected in parallel to the supercapacitor to thereby form a combination with a parallel connection, wherein the constant-potential DC-DC converter is continuously connected in series to a combination of the damper circuit connected in parallel and the supercapacitor; and a microprocessor configured to operate in an active mode, in which the control housing is connected to the cartridge, wherein the microprocessor in active mode is configured to direct power from the supercapacitor to the heating element for activation and evaporation of components of the aerosol precursor composition.
