FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for early verification of posttraumatic osteomyelitis in patients with mandibular fractures. Method involves examination of anamnestic and X-ray data, determination of immunological indices – TNF-α and IL-17 in blood serum for 24 hours from the moment of trauma and further calculation by formula: P=1/(1+e^-0.38*TNF-α+4.8); P=1/(1+e^-1.08*IL-17+17.54), if P>0.80, a high risk of developing posttraumatic osteomyelitis of the lower jaw is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention enables early assessment of a risk of posttraumatic osteomyelitis of the lower jaw ensured by an integrated examination and determination of TNF-α and IL-17 in blood serum.
