FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a compression fitting and a method of its assembly. Crimping fitting for attachment to pipe comprises fitting body having mainly cylindrical housing and internal axial hole. Fitting casing end has tapering inner surface that compresses tapered outer surface of coupling in pipe when fitting housing is crimped with coupling and pipe. Adapter end of the fitting body can be attached by means of a permanent or detachable connection to another part.
EFFECT: as a result, weight of fitting is reduced and assembly is simplified.
