SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Internal combustion engine is made with layer-by-layer distribution of fuel mix at least partially, in which combustion of hydrocarbon-containing fuel generating flame emitting photons is carried out in chamber with wall equipped with coating containing cerium-carbon oxide. Coating additionally contains at least oxides of the following elements: Pr, Nd, La and at least Y and/or Zr. Coating contains cerium-carbon oxide with oxides of the following elements: Pr, Nd, La and at least Y and/or Zr. Weight content of metal element selected from Y, Zr and their mixtures, in terms of oxide, in total weight content of metal elements selected from Ce, Pr, Nd, La, Y and Zr, in terms of oxide, is at least 10 %. Mainly the weight content of the metal element is at least 15 %, preferably is from 16 to 40 % and most preferably is from 20 to 30 %. Disclosed is a method of generating mechanical energy, a catalyst precursor and a catalyst support.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of NOx emissions.
