FIELD: technology of water and air purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts for cleaning atmospheric air from soot. Disclosed is a soot oxidation catalyst used for a catalyst filter for cleaning from dispersed particles formed in an internal combustion engine, including oxide containing cerium (Ce) in form of cerium oxide, manganese (Mn) in form of oxide, and 1 wt.% silver relative to total weight of said oxides, wherein the molar ratio of the content of cerium oxide to manganese oxide in terms of Ce:Mn metals ranges from 5/5 to 3/1 in units of the atomic ratio.
EFFECT: disclosed catalyst has high thermal stability and activity during soot combustion.
