FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: catalytic product for exhaust gas purification and method for its use in an exhaust system for internal combustion engines are proposed. The catalytic product for exhaust gas purification contains: substrate and a catalytic area on substrate, wherein substrate is a carrier having a cellular structure. The catalytic area contains a component of platinum group metal (PGM), oxide, and a component of rear earth metal. Oxide is inorganic oxide, oxygen storage capacity (OSC), or a mixture thereof. A concentration of the component of rear earth metal by elements on an oxide surface per unit of a specific surface area of oxide is from 1 to 20 mcmol/m2; an at the same time, the component of rear earth metal contains Nd and La. OSC material is selected from a group consisting of cerium oxide, mixed cerium-zirconium oxide, composite cerium-zirconium oxide, composite oxide containing Ce, Zr, and a rear earth element, and mixed aluminum-cerium-zirconium oxide. Inorganic oxide is alumina, alumina stabilized with lanthanide, or composite magnesium/aluminum oxide.
EFFECT: improvement of catalytic neutralizers for certain engine platforms, capable of providing a simultaneously high coefficient of conversion and improved thermal stability.
