SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a modular automatic fire alarm and fire extinguishing system of special rolling stock (SRS) intended for maintenance of railway infrastructure. Special rolling stock comprises at least one section of SRS. System comprises: a central control and indication unit (CCIU) (1), a fire condition recording device, a backup power unit (2) and a radio station control unit. Each SRS section comprises two remote start devices (3), a first local control unit (LCU) (4) with devices connected thereto, including: at least one heat fire sensor (5) and / or at least one smoke detector (6), at least one door opening / closing sensor (7), at least one manual call point (8), at least one fire light annunciator (9) and / or at least one fire alarm device (10) and at least one independent fire extinguishing agent (11). At that, first LCU (4) is configured to perform the following actions in its operation area: determining a fire hazardous situation event and / or fire, notification of occurrence of said event, determining door opening / closing state, launching stand-alone execution devices (11) of fire-fighting, receiving from CCIU (1) notification on activation of at least one of devices connected to first LCU (4) and transmission to CCIU (1) of information on condition of connected to LCU devices and occurrence of fire hazardous situation and / or fire. CCIU (1) is configured to receive information from first LCU (4), store it in a fire state recording device and transmit an external control station to the remote server.
