FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical microbiology. Disclosed are a nutrient medium for separating and identifying parahemolytic vibrios (embodiments) and a method of producing the disclosed medium (embodiments). Medium contains a nutrient base of enzyme peptone, microbiological agar, saccharose, bromothymol blue with addition of potassium carbonate, potassium sulphite, OX bile, yeast dry yeast extract and a mixture of alkyl sulphates. Identification additive used is sodium chloride. Methods provide melting by boiling at 100 °C while stirring nutrient base and added reagents with subsequent cooling to 45–50 °C.
EFFECT: inventions provide identification of halophilous pathogenic para-hemolytic vibrios.
