FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in restoring the head of a metatarsal foot in Keller II-Freiberg disease. Surgical approach is created. Metatarsal bone defect size is determined. Osteochondral autograft is sampled from a near Achilles tendon calcaneal bone. Osteochondral autograft is treated to the size of a head bone defect. Defect of head of metatarsal bone is shaped as truncated pyramid. Osteochondral autograft is inserted into a defect of the head of the metatarsal bone so that the facet of the truncated pyramid covered with a cartilage is turned in a metatarsophalangeal joint to dense fixation.
EFFECT: method provides anatomical restoration of head of metatarsal bone, recovery of biomechanics of metatarsophalangeal joint due to dense establishment of osteochondral autograft into defect.
