SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Device for cutting human or animal tissue, such as cornea or lens, comprises a femtosecond laser configured to emit a laser beam in the form of pulses; means configured to direct and focus the beam on the tissue or tissue for cutting thereof; laser beam forming means, positioned on the laser beam trajectory, for modulation of the phase of the wave front of the laser beam in accordance with the calculated given modulation value in order to distribute energy of a single modulated laser beam in at least two exposure points in the focal plane of said single modulated laser beam corresponding to the cutting plane. Device control method comprises the following steps: applying a given phase modulation value for the laser beam forming means, modulating the phase of the wave front of the laser beam using the laser beam forming means. At that, the specified value of modulation is calculated so that to distribute energy of the unique modulated laser beam in at least two points of action in focal plane of the specified unique modulated laser beam corresponding to plane of cutting.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions improves cut quality.
