FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pediatric ophthalmology. In order to form a laser coloboma in a pupillary block due to endogenous uveitis in children, in the presence of a light iris with a thin stroma, a single-step Nd-YAG laser iridectomy is performed in the areas of maximum iris bombe until complete elimination of the bombe. In the presence of a dark-brown iris with a dense thick stroma or in the process of infecting a previously performed laser coloboma, a diode laser application is applied on the iris in the form of a ring with diameter of 3–4 mm at the point of the planned coloboma in 2 mm from the iris root, without affecting the projection eye areas on iris, responsible for vision organ, and 12–14 days later, Nd-YAG laser iridectomy is performed in the center of the ring.
EFFECT: method provides prevention of reactive post-laser syndrome, reduced traumatism of the laser operation and prevention of laser coloboma overgrowth.
