FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. Laser iridectomy is performed using a diode laser and Nd: YAG laser for dark irises. First stage involves creating a bed of a future coloboma using a diode laser with wavelength of 532 nm, spot diameter 500–1000 mcm, exposure 0.15–0.2 s, power 200–300 mW, number of pulses 1–3. Second stage involves photodestruction of Nd:YAG laser with power of 1.6–3.2 mJ, number of pulses 5–12.
EFFECT: method enables reducing fiber separation and coagulation damage of the iris.
