FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used in machine building, instrument making, automotive industry and other industries. Electrolyte contains, g/l: zinc sulphate 10–20, iron (II) sulfuric acid 10–20, ammonium oxalate 80–100, preparation OS-20 0.4–0.8, and water up to 1 l, at that pH is 5–6, temperature 25–60 °C.
EFFECT: reduced rate of corrosion of zinc-iron coatings with simultaneous reduction of environmental load for waste water treatment due to reduced toxicity.
