FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of catalysts for low-temperature oxidation of carbon oxide and can be used in individual and collective respiratory protection and environmental protection. Disclosed is a method of producing a palladium catalyst based on aluminum oxide. Acidified aqueous palladium chloride solution is prepared and impregnated with aluminum oxide by the prepared solution at volume ratio of impregnating solution to aluminum oxide (1.15÷1.30):1.00. Impregnation is carried out with palladium chloride solution with concentration of 1.0–1.1 wt%. Then, obtained pulp is treated with 10 % sodium formate solution until palladium is reduced, product is washed off chlorine ions, held at 18–25 °C for 3.0–3.5 h and thermal treatment at temperature rise with rate of 18–20 °C/min to 105–110 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a low-temperature catalyst for oxidizing carbon oxide, having oxidation efficiency of 97-99 %.
