FIELD: electrical communication engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication and can be used in fibre-optic lines in order to transmit information from rotating objects or to rotating objects. Rotating optical connector is made in the form of a body, on both sides of which there are two units with two ferula passing inside them, one of the units is a rotor in the form of a shaft with a hole along its axis, in which a ferula is installed in a mandrel with an optical cable embedded in it, and the other unit is a stator assembly made in the form of an assembly containing a ferula in the mandrel, a spring, an insert, a centring shell, a stator bushing and a cable, which optical fibre is embedded in ferrule, outer shell cable is fixed in stator sleeve, and cable section to ferula, damping temperature and dynamic deformations of connector elements during its operation, is made with removed upper shell to polymer coating of fibre. Stator ferrule mandrel is made with ledge fixing attachment to insert, coaxiality of other end of insert is provided with flange, coaxial connection of stator and rotor ferules is provided with coaxial arrangement of stator assembly in shaft opening with clamping bushing and spring, which is oppositely pressing end faces of stator and rotor ferules, as a result of which rotating optical connector reliably operates.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability of connector.
