INTRAMEDULLARY EXPANDING ROD FOR OSTEOSYNTHESIS OF TUBULAR BONES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/72

Abstract RU 2712803 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Intramedullary expanding rod for osteosynthesis of tubular bones consists of a central axis, a clamping part, a bushing, a handle, a tip, a clamping nut and two groups of peripheral spokes. Central axis is equipped with external thread arranged in head and tail parts, respectively, and has thread at beginning of tail part for screwing in clamping part and thread in tail part for swinging of clamping nut. In the head part there are three holes for fixing screws, of which two through holes of round shape and the third hole made in form of straight through slot. Head part is made with expansion and has transverse slot and thread inside its cavity for installation and fixation of handle for axis rotation. Clamping part is equipped with teeth to prevent rotation in bone, internal thread and lugs for connection with spokes from the outside. Tip has one hole for the central axis and "eyes" for connection of peripheral spokes, teeth outside to prevent rotation in bone and is located in the tail part. In each group of peripheral spokes there are eight pieces. Peripheral spokes are made with "eyes" on ends for connection between each other to provide mobility of joint and two along circumference. Sleeve is made with teeth outside to prevent rotation in bone and connects two sets of spokes to each other, which in turn are movably connected to clamping part and to tip.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of reducing the installation time of the device by reducing the number of installation steps by virtue of the original design solution while reducing the length of treatment, improvement of quality of treatment and simplification of application at intended use due to elimination of further necessity of its adjustment.
