INTRAMEDULLARY EXPANDING ROD FOR LONG BONE OSTEOSYNTHESIS WITH ADDITIONAL STABILIZATION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/72

Abstract RU 2766408 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed technical solution relates to traumatology and orthopedics, namely to surgical intramedullary devices, is intended for osteosynthesis, in minimally invasive techniques. Essence is an intramedullary expanding rod for osteosynthesis of long bones with additional stabilization, made of a biocompatible material and consisting of a head part, a central tube, a tail part, head part is made in the form of a bushing, inside which there is a channel, two threaded parts, three through holes for fixing bolts, fixing bolts, a pressure screw, a pusher, wherein the channel extends through the end hole of the head part to the hold-down screw with the possibility of inserting a tool for tightening the hold-down screw; threaded parts are made as screw-nut connection with dimensions M8 and M5, respectively, wherein between the M8 thread and the M5 thread there are three through holes for fixing bolts, wherein the upper and central through holes are made of a round shape, and the lower through hole is oval in shape with the possibility of placing the fixing bolts at the required angle to enable accurate fixation of the disclosed device in the medullary canal of the injured bone; M8 thread is made with possibility of plug-in screw installation, as well as with possibility of the claimed device removal from the medullary canal of the injured bone using the pin extractor, the M5 thread is made with the possibility of screw tightening, wherein the screw is the pressure screw, and the nut is the head part, wherein the length of the threaded part M5 is made sufficient to perform the working stroke of the disclosed expansion device when installed in the medullary canal of the injured bone; in the upper part of the clamping screw screwed into the M5 thread, there is a straight slot for the clamping screw tightening tool, and in the lower part the clamping screw is movably connected to the pusher head, wherein the other end of the pusher is made with a process hole for a movable connection with the peripheral wires; central part is made in the form of a hollow cylindrical tube with slots for the output of peripheral wires, four groups of peripheral wires are longitudinally arranged inside the tube, between which there are three movable connecting bushing, wherein peripheral wires and movable connecting bushing are made with process holes at the ends for connection to each other with possibility of connection mobility, wherein in the upper part the peripheral wires are movably connected to the pusher through the process holes, and in the lower part they are movably connected to the fixed connecting bushing; wherein the number of peripheral wires is total equal to sixteen, wherein the peripheral wires are made in the form of four groups, each group consisting of four peripheral wires, wherein the peripheral wires are connected to each other by two through the process holes, wherein each group of four peripheral wires is turned through 90° relative to the previous group of four peripheral wires, wherein the groups of peripheral wires are made along the entire length of the intramedullary rod; tail part consists of a fixed connecting bushing and then a plug, at the same time a process hole is made at the fixed connecting bushing at one end, to which the ends of the lower group of peripheral wires are movably attached, and the second end is rigidly attached to the plug.

EFFECT: use of the disclosed technical solution enables to reduce the installation time of the device by reducing the number of installation steps due to the original design solution while reducing the length of treatment, improving the quality of treatment and simplifying the application when used as directed, by eliminating the subsequent need for its adjustment.
