FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing technologies and can be used in vision systems. For this purpose, mutual sub-pixel shift of image and light-sensitive surface in neighbouring frames is used, memorizing formed frames, obtaining sequence of magnified frames, wherein the first frame is formed without shifting, then performing a subpixel shift of the light-sensitive surface under the opaque surface by a value equal to the mth part of the corresponding linear size of the photosensitive element, where m is the resolution multiplicity of the video system, after the shift, forming the frame, the shifts being performed in series along the vertical and horizontal (m2-1) times, and samples of increased frame are determined from readings of all generated m2 frames.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of resolution of video systems in m times using one photosensitive surface.
