FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to production of ammunition, as well as for designing and manufacturing of ammunition of various types and purposes. Detachable centering ring (DCR) for artillery shells in the barrel is assembled from three parts adjoining each other, along the barrel gauge, with circular outline of division into equal sectors. DCR has a first centering ring (CR), a second pressure ring (PR) and a sealing band. One edge of CR ring is made with flattened side, the other edge of CR is narrowed on cone and touches cone with edge of PR. Other edge of the PR has a stepped projection in contact with the sealing band.

EFFECT: invention allows reducing the barrel heating, reducing the projectiles scattering, improving the projectiles projecting accuracy, and also significantly increasing the tabulated range of firing.
