FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for throwing solid bodies and can be used in various industries. Discarding projectile sabot (hereinafter—DPS) for bottom part of projectile body is made with outer surface of DPS, tapering to truncated cone, with longitudinal through channel in central part of DPS. DPS has a combined shape of two connected truncated cones, lower of which adjoins the projectile has taper smaller than the upper one, having the base diameter equal to smaller diameter of the lower cone.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to considerably reduce barrel vibration during firing, to reduce projectiles scattering, to improve accuracy of thrown bodies and shells.
