FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly phthisiology, namely to assessing the balance of immune, inflammatory and anti-inflammatory reactions of alveolar macrophages from resected sections of lung patients suffering pulmonary tuberculosis, depending on degree of Mycobacterium tuberculosis macrophage infection. That is ensured by separating alveolar macrophages from the operating lung material, culturing them for 16–18 hours in the wells on the cover glasses, during which a differential coloring is performed, which enables to detect the production of pro-inflammatory (IFNγ, TNFα, IL-1β, IL-12, COX-2), microbicidal (ROS, iNOS), anti-inflammatory (IL-4, IL-10, FGFb) response factors by alveolar macrophages, intensity of macrophagal immune reaction is determined by quantity of alveolar macrophages in ex vivo culture, their infection with mycobacteria, then by share of alveolar macrophages, producing factors of pro-inflammatory, microbicidal, anti-inflammatory reactions, intensity of these reactions is evaluated, at comparison of which with degree of infection of alveolar macrophages with mycobacteria, a conclusion is made on deviation from balance state of said reactions of alveolar macrophages.
EFFECT: invention provides determining redundancy or insufficiency of reactions of alveolar macrophages in response to infection with tuberculosis mycobacteria after chemotherapy and surgical treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.
