FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry. Disclosed is a method for producing ex vivo alveolar macrophage culture of operational material of patients suffering pulmonary tuberculosis to estimate M. tuberculosis virulence. Cell suspension is obtained by grinding a lung tissue sample, homogenisation by straining through a sieve with pore diameter of 0.5-2.0 mm, cell suspension release from non homogenize residues by their passive deposition. Cell suspension is centrifuged for 4-5 minutes at 800-1,200 rpm and at temperature of +20-25 °C. Culturing cells is carried out for 12-20 hours. Disclosed is a method for estimating M. tuberculosis virulence, characterized by the fact that part of macrophages containing mycobacteria is estimated of the total number of macrophages in the obtained ex vivo alveolar macrophage culture, presence and a part of macrophages containing colonies of breeding mycobacteria without cord-morphology growth and with cord-morphology growth is estimated of the total number of macrophages containing mycobacteria.

EFFECT: invention allows improving cell viability in the obtained culture, estimate M.tuberculosis virulence with respect to a specific patient, reducing the length of the method implementation.
