FIELD: radio engineering and communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communication means, specifically directed digital phased antenna arrays with a ring structure, and is intended to provide radio communication in equipment of base stations and retransmitters. Technical effect is achieved due to that voltage is supplied to all single radiators inside angular sector φK, arranged symmetrically relative to direction of maximum radiation of main lobe BP, and value of angular sector φK is selected from the condition: VDN1K≤2VDN1, where VDN is the width of the BP of the single RPAA emitter, deg; N is number of single radiators in RPAA; K is number of single radiators inside angular sector φK; φ1=360°/N – sector angle per unit emitter in RPAA, deg, note here that said emitters are fed and controlled by single beam-forming device.

EFFECT: reduced power consumption due to optimization of the number of operating emitters in the sector covering the direction of radiation main lobe maximum of the antenna beam pattern (BP).
