FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical material science, particularly to an optical data medium based on oxide glasses, and can be used for recording and storing information. Result is achieved by using an optical information carrier based on multicomponent oxide glass compositions, mol.%: Me2O (Me=Li, Na, K) in amount of 12–30, SiO2 in amount of 70–88; or composition: Me2O (Me=Li, Na, K) in amount of 5–30, Al2O3 in amount of 0.1–5, SiO2 in amount of 65–87.9; or composition: Me2O (Me=Li, Na, K) in amount of 4–25, Al2O3 in amount of 2–5, B2O3 in amount of 5–13, SiO2 in amount of 65–81.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify and reduce the cost of the technological process of manufacturing an optical data medium while maintaining the speed of recording information.
