Method includes the following steps: detection and / or recording of at least one temperature of measured value received from sensor (7) (Tm), in particular as function (Tm(t)) time, detecting and / or writing at least one characteristic physical or chemical reference value (G) of reference element (8), in particular as a function (G(t)) of time, detection of the occurred phase transition by means of, in particular, abrupt change of reference value (G), determination of moment (tph) of phase transition, in which it occurred, determination of temperature (Tm) of the sensor based on the measured value from it at the moment (tm) of measurement, having the shortest time distance to moment (tph) of phase transition, and temperature comparison (Tm) of sensor with temperature (Tph) of phase transition and / or determination of possible deviation (ΔT) between temperature (Tm) of sensor and temperature (Tph) of phase transition.

EFFECT: high accuracy of calibrating and / or checking the thermometer.
