SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device (1) for determining and/or monitoring temperature (T) of working medium (5), comprising at least first temperature sensor (13) for determining temperature (T) of working medium (5), reference element (8) for calibration in place and/or checking device (1), consisting at least partially of material, in which in temperature range, operating for device (1), at least one phase transition takes place at least at one given phase transition temperature (Tph), wherein the material remains in the solid phase, wherein the reference element has at least first (11) and second (12) electroconductive electrodes, electrically insulated from each other; first connecting wire (9a) for contact, in particular, electric with first electrode (11) and the second connecting wire (9b) for contact, in particular, with second electrode (12). According to the invention, the device comprises a third connecting wire (9c) consisting of a material different from at least the material of first (9a) or second (9b) connecting wire, wherein the third connecting wire (9c) is located so as to form the first temperature sensor (13) in the form of the first thermoelement with first (9a) or with second (9b) connecting wire. Invention also relates to a method of calibrating in-place and/or inspecting a device.
