SUBSTANCE: method of producing a heating element for an electronic steam supply system, comprising providing a sheet of electroconductive porous material, measuring the amount of light passing through at least two points on the sheet, to obtain a set of light transmission values, including maximum value and minimum value, comparing value of difference between maximum and minimum values with preset acceptable deviation of light transmission and selection of sheet for use as heating element, if value of difference falls within range of allowable deviation.

EFFECT: invention provides higher uniformity of heating.
