FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of automation and electric power engineering, in particular to the method of the object removal from the power transmission line (OL). Method of removing an object from a rope is to provide an object located on the rope, a device for removing the object from the rope, comprising at least two mechanisms for removing the object from the rope, attached to the object using flexible elements, separating mechanisms from the object from different sides relative to the rope, releasing the mechanisms, attaching the mechanisms to the fixing surface on the ground and adjusting the supply and tension of the flexible elements to displace object from equilibrium. Device for removal of object from rope contains at least two mechanisms for removal of object from rope, each of which contains housing, inside of which by means of bearings shaft is installed, coil, installed on shaft, and flexible element, wound on coil, wherein one of the ends of each flexible element is connected to object, and housing on outer side is equipped with fasteners intended for attachment to object.

EFFECT: technical result is providing safe removal of object from rope, in particular diagnostic or other equipment with overhead line.
