FIELD: computer equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for data processing. Technical result is achieved by obtaining data on user transactions containing IP addresses of senders and recipients of transactions; performing ranging of using IP-addresses and number of transactions between said IP-addresses; generating a graph based on ranging data, in which vertices are IP addresses, and ribs is the number of transfers over a certain period of time between senders and recipients using corresponding IP addresses; constructing territorial clusters based on the formed graph, wherein each cluster has multiple IP addresses; obtaining transaction user information containing at least IP-address; searching for the obtained IP address in the territorial cluster and, if the IP address is found, assigning the corresponding territorial cluster to the user.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of location of participants of transaction using IP-addresses used when referring to a given territorial cluster.
