FIELD: banking payment systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to implementation of non-cash transactions in card payment systems. The claimed technical result is achieved by implementing a method for conducting transactions using digital currency in the EMV infrastructure by transmitting requests/responses between a mobile device, a POS terminal, an acquirer host, a digital currency platform, and a payment system processing centre. The response received from the user's mobile device includes the amount of the transaction, the addresses of the recipient's and sender's accounts on the digital payment platform, and the EMV transaction data in the amount of 24 bytes, where 6 bytes is the right side of PAN, 2 bytes is ATC, 8 bytes is AC, 8 bytes - date/time of the transaction.
EFFECT: increased security of digital transactions in a standard EMV card infrastructure by encoding the key information necessary to ensure safe and reliable transactions in the EMV infrastructure using means of payment emulation.
