FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Tin (II) fluoride is obtained from tin dioxide in the presence of hydrofluoric acid with addition of tin metal, as well as molecular iodine as a stimulating additive in an organic medium in a vertical-type bead mill. Grinding agent used is fechral, which is loaded in weight ratio with the rest of the charge without taking tin into account, equal to 1:1. Solvent used is ethyl cellosolve or white spirit. Loading is carried out in the following sequence: solvent of volumetric phase, grinding agent, tin dioxide, molecular iodine. Then, using ethyl cellosolve, hydrofluoric acid and tin are introduced and mechanical stirring is started. In case of use as a solvent of white spirit, first, mechanical stirring is started, then hydrofluoric acid and tin are introduced. Process is carried out until the calculated content of the product in the reaction mixture is achieved. Mixing is stopped, grinding agent and unreacted tin are separated from reaction mixture. Reaction mixture is filtered, the filter cake is washed with a liquid phase solvent, wrung out and dried.

EFFECT: invention simplifies production of tin (II) fluoride.
