FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to urology, and enables assessing the activity of a local inflammatory process in the prostate gland in chronic abacterial prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CAP/CPPS). That is ensured by collecting the biomaterial after clinical examination of the patients and prostate massage followed by placing the biomaterial in test tubes with a stabilizer. Further, the obtained biomaterial samples are analyzed by solid-phase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to determine interleukin-8 concentration. Biomaterial is presented by post massage portion of urine wherein the method of solid-phase immunoassay enables additionally determining the concentrations of interleukin-6 and monocytic chemoattractant protein. Obtained concentration of cytokines shows activity of a local inflammatory process. If one of the concentrations of said cytokines increases: more than 14 pg/ml for interleukin-6; 48 pg/ml for interleukin-8 and 362 pg/ml for monocytic chemoattractant protein shows the presence of an inflammatory process in the prostate gland.

EFFECT: invention enables assessing the activity of the inflammatory process in the prostate gland in CAP/CPPS in all patients with high accuracy and sensitivity.
