FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used in machine building, instrument making, chemical and other industries. Method includes micro-arc oxidation for 70–90 minutes in electrolyte containing aqueous solution of boric acid and sodium hydroxide with concentration of 20–30 g/l and 4–6 g/l respectively, wherein micro-arc oxidation is carried out at density of direct current of 5–10 A/dm2 and electrolyte temperature of 25 or 30 °C.
EFFECT: obtaining high-quality corrosion-resistant coatings based on crystalline aluminum oxide Al2O3 without intermediate stage of formation of amorphous oxide based on Al2O3 with simultaneous reduction of technological danger of process, time and power inputs.
