SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks, particularly to methods for adaptation of density of reference demodulation signals. In accordance with one aspect, a wireless node selects a set of reference signal antenna ports for use in transmitting data to other wireless nodes in a given transmission time interval from a plurality of sets of reference signal antenna ports which are available for use, and the wireless node sends a message to a second wireless node indicating the assignment of the reference signal and including an indication of a selected set of antenna ports of the reference signals having different density of the reference signals in the frequency and / or time dimension.
EFFECT: invention and is intended for early DM-RS and fast channel estimation for applications critical to delay.
