FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for improvement of transition from masked section of audio signal to next section of audio signal. Decoded portion of the audio signal is generated depending on the first portion of the audio signal and depending on the second portion of the audio signal. First section of the audio signal depends on the masked section of the audio signal and the second section of the audio signal depends on the next section of the audio signal. Decoded portion of audio signal is output. Each of the first portion of the audio signal and the second portion of the audio signal and the decoded portion of the audio signal comprises a plurality of samples. Each of the plurality of samples of the first portion of the audio signal and the second portion of the audio signal and the decoded portion of the audio signal is determined by a sampling position from a plurality of sampling positions and by a sampling value. Plurality of sampling positions are ordered such that for each pair of the first sampling position and the second sampling position different from the first sampling position, the first sampling position is either a subsequent element or a preceding element of the second sampling position.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of masking sections of audio signal.
