FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, particularly to the production of an erythrocyte antigen for the serological diagnosis of animal brucellosis in the indirect hemagglutination reaction (IHAR). Method of brucellous erythrocyte antigen production for indirect hemagglutination reaction (IHAR) involves formalization of ram erythrocytes with their subsequent sensitization with brucellous sensitin. At that, for production of erythrocytic antigen three-day culture of B. abortus 19 grown on dense nutrient medium made on the basis of hydrolyzate of casein and extract of bread yeast is washed off from surface of nutrient medium with sterile 12 % solution of sodium chloride, is brought to concentration of bacillus to 70–80 billion m.c. in 1 ml, are subjected to autoclaving at 0.5–0.7 atm, pH 8.0–9.0 for 45 minutes and used for sensitization of erythrocytes pre-treated with "Progress" surface-active agent manufactured by "AMS Media" LLC.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a specific high-activity erythrocytic antigen whose use for analyzing blood serums of animals identifies a wider range of specific brucellous antibodies having agglutinating, complement-binding and precipitating activity.
