METHOD OF TREATING DYSTROPHIC SPINAL AND JOINT DISEASES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61N1/18

Abstract RU 2714457 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to electrotherapy, and can be used for treating pain syndrome in dystrophic diseases of spine and joints. Course of electric stimulation procedures is conducted by applying electrodes on a projection of paraarticular muscle-nerve segments of joints. Ozone-containing cream-gel with peroxide number of active forms of oxygen of up to 750 megO2/kg is applied on current-conducting ozone-resistant surface of electrodes of low-frequency electropulse massager. Four pairs of electrodes are arranged in pairs in the region of the involved joint and simultaneously in paraarticular regions of the cervicothoracic, thoracic and lumbosacral spines. Activating low-frequency electropulse stimulation is followed by percutaneously introducing active oxygen species from ozone containing cream-gel into paraarticular muscle-nerve segments of the spine and joints. Pulse shape, frequency, intensity and duration are selected individually for each patient in the first-second sessions. Parameters are first increased to a threshold of pain sensitivity, then the parameters are reduced by 2–5 %. Electropulse exposure is performed in a varying electric stimulation mode with amplitude of pulses of 15–80 mA, at their frequency of 15–120 Hz, duration of 250–400 mcs in amount of 10–12 procedures daily.

EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness, reduced duration and cost of treatment by using electric stimulation and ozone-containing cream gel.
