FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metrology and can be used in determination of gravitational constant. According to scale oscillation periods at four carriages positions fifth position of carriages is preliminary added, the fifth period of oscillations is determined in case of their absence, then corrections are made in periods of oscillation of scales using fifth position, afterwards gravitational constant is calculated for all combinations of attracting bodies by two independent methods, and at final stage all possible combinations of gravity constant are corrected by correction of oscillation periods.

EFFECT: reduced error of gravitational constant calculations.
