FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a pharmaceutical dosage form for use on a mucosa of the esophagus, nasopharyngeal, buccal, gastrointestinal, rectal or vaginal mucosa. Dosage form contains at least one platy preparation containing an active pharmaceutical ingredient, a release mechanism and a trigger mechanism capable of triggering release by the platy preparation release mechanism in a preset exposure point of the gastrointestinal tract, rectum or vagina. Pharmaceutical dosage form also comprises a shell containing said platy preparation containing an active pharmaceutical ingredient, wherein the shell has at least one opening through which the liquid surrounding the shell can come into contact with the inner space of the shell, where the opening is made in the form of a slot and/or at least partially coated with a trigger mechanism, or the platy preparation is folded into grooves or recesses of dosage form, wherein the folds are glued together by a polymer triggering the release of the pharmaceutical ingredient. Release mechanism represents a mechanism of expansion that leads to opening of shell, or opening forms part of release mechanism and is configured to release the preparation from the shell so that the platy preparation is untwisted or straightened when the dosage form moves along the mucous membrane and leaves the shell through the opening.
EFFECT: dosage form according to the invention provides release of the active pharmaceutical ingredient in the increased volume and in the preset exposure point.
