SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods for detecting an animal near a vehicle. In one embodiment, a wearable device carried by an animal is actuated when the wearable device is within a predetermined distance from the vehicle. Vehicle receives signal from wearable device and determines approximate distance between wearable device and vehicle. Warning is generated to warn the driver that the animal is near the vehicle. Warning has level of intensity that corresponds to approximate distance between wearable device and vehicle.
EFFECT: technical result is providing traffic safety.
