FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. Vehicle system includes a communication device programmed to pair with a mobile device, and a processing device programmed to periodically transmit to a mobile device a current location signal representative of the current location of the mobile device. Processing device is additionally programmed to detect vehicle shutdown and transmit final destination signal to mobile device, wherein the final location signal represents a final location of the mobile device and a turn-off flag.
EFFECT: efficient location of a mobile device.
