FIELD: electrothermal equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrothermal equipment, namely to devices producing plasma. Electric arc plasmatron comprises tubular housing made of non-conductive current of refractory material, inner cavity of which forms longitudinal slotted chamber, in tubular housing perpendicular to slit chamber axis there are two opposite to each other holes, in one of which there is anode electrode, and in the other – cathode electrode, which are connected to power supply unit with level and constant sign by voltage, as well as to arc ignition unit. One end of the tubular case is connected to the working plasma-forming gas supply unit. Tubular magnet core movable with reciprocation drive is installed coaxially with tubular housing, which inner diameter is larger than outer diameter of tubular housing, in cavity of tubular magnetic conductor, between its inner surface and outer surface of housing, there are two poles with windings connected to another source of controlled DC voltage, wherein pole axis is located perpendicular to electrode position axis, pipeline for electrode cooling agent passage is made in the form of channels in wall of tubular housing.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of design, control of speed of movement, temperature and volume of plasma at outlet of tubular housing.
