ELECTRIC ARC PLASMATRON FOR COMBUSTION OF SOLID WASTES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F23G5/00 H05H1/26 H05B7/20

Abstract RU 2713736 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrothermal equipment, namely to devices producing plasma in electric arc chambers for burning solid wastes. Electric arc plasmatron comprises vertically arranged tubular housing made of nonconducting current of refractory material, with two sealed covers, tubular case has two downwardly inclined openings with movable electrodes connected to constant voltage power supply to adjustable power supply unit. Coaxial to housing is tubular magnetic core, inner diameter of which is greater than outer diameter of housing, in the cavity of the tubular magnetic conductor between its inner surface and the outer surface of the housing, two poles with windings connected to another source of controlled DC voltage are arranged perpendicular to the electrode position axis, wherein the upper edge of the poles is located at the level of the lower ends of the electrodes. Tubular holes for supplying plasma-forming gas are made in tubular housing. In upper cover channels for supply of combusted material and for removal of gaseous combustion products are made. On inner surface of lower cover there is a spiral winding of conductive refractory non-insulated material, closed by plate of non-conductive refractory material, ends of winding are connected to power source, lower cover is connected to its opening and closing drive, parts of electrodes located outside the tubular housing are connected to pushers and their extension devices.

EFFECT: simplification of temperature control processes and increase of efficiency at combustion of material due to additional heating of burnt material by electric spiral made of refractory material.
